Ever since we joined ICA’s Rock Ministry on 1st June 2011, Steph and I have been so blessed and encouraged! These people are real and authentic and have been a spiritual home for us here in Hong Kong. For us, the ministry was similar to the time we were with CityLife Church’s Young Adults group (part of which was formerly known as Elevate). Our calling as a married couple was to be a blessing to the young adults around us, whether they were in a relationship or single. In turn, we have been blessed by them.
The time has come that we feel God is leading us into a new season. Before you assume: no we aren’t expecting kids just yet! However we are nearing our 3rd decade(!) so it’s the part of our life where we need to be in a community of people that are journeying along the same path. Also, I will be commencing a part-time course (Post-Graduate Diploma in Education) at The University of Hong Kong in September so that means two night-classes per week.
So at the end of June 2013, our biggest prayer for our Kowloon Home Group is for God to provide a new place to meet. In stepping down from leadership, we will continue to support the current leaders (Rossella and Jasmine) and the new leader (Tim) for a while until our schedules settle down. We’ll be praying about where God is leading us next…
Here is a gallery of photos showing some of the things we got up to in our Kowloon Home Group and also in the Rock Ministry!
26/06/2013 update…
Thanks to our own Rock Kowloon Home Group for organising a farewell dinner! Thanks also for the card, framed mosaic picture, Bible and baby shirt+shoes (although it’ll be a while before we make use of that!)
