Today marks the 6th year since we left our Aussie jobs and took a leap of faith to Hong Kong.  What began as a “2 year test run” has now become rather permanent.

Last year we mentioned that we hoped to have another child – and so we will!  Though not a girl as we originally hoped for, but God has answered Selwyn’s prayer for a little brother!  Coming soon: some time in mid-August!

Milestones over the past year

Here’s the summary of milestones categorised into celebrating memorable moments, spiritual growing and church involvement, travelling, exploring and experiencing, working and living in HK:

• 27/04/16: Sam scored a free burger meal at Beef and Liberty!  Winning a competition is pretty big deal haha!  This one gave him (and a friend) a chance to be introduced to a limited edition burger by the chef himself!
• 03/05/16: Attended Arthur & Kayi’s Wedding
• 08/05/16: Celebrated Selwyn’s second birthday (a few days early) with family and his godparents, as well as Mothers’ Day
• 11/05/16: Celebrated Selwyn’s birthday with his great-grandparents
• 15/05/16: Selwyn attended the toddler group at church for the first time
• 22/05-09/06/16: Steph travelled to New York and London for work
• 01-03/07/16: Travelled to Singapore
• 02/07/16: Attended Wayne & Edels’ Wedding
• mid-07/16: Sam completed his 5th year of teaching in HK
• 19/07-17/08/16: Travelled to Melbourne, Australia (Sam & Selwyn for a month, Steph for a week)
• 13/08/16: Attended Sam’s bro Isaac & Lana’s Wedding
• 09/16: Selwyn began attending pre-nursery at Galilee International School
• 23/10/16: Sam participated in the Heifer International 10K Race (10th and slowest 10K)
• 06/11/16: Sam participated in his first Spartan Race
• 09-13/11/16: Steph travelled to Melbourne
• 11/11/16: Steph attended Billy & Cherry’s Wedding
• 19/11/16: Steph spoke at the Agile Conference Hong Kong
• 12/16: Found out we’re going to have another baby!
• 04/12/16: Sam participated in the RBC Run for Kids 10K Race (11th 10K)
• 14/12/16: Sam donated blood in HK for the 10th time
• 19/12/16: Celebrated our 7th ANNIVERSARY!
• 21-27/12/16: Travelled to Tokyo, Japan
• 23/12/16: Went to Thomas Land in Fuji-Q Highland
• 02/17: Found out we’re going to have another son!
• 12/02/17: Sam participated in his 3rd Standard Chartered Half-Marathon
• 04/17: Sam & Steph passes over the leadership of Kindle Love, an ICA cell group consisting of married couples, to two very capable couples
• 02-09/04/17: Sam performed as Jesus in ICA DramaWorks’ production Sinai – Mountain of God
• 22/04/17: Sam participated in his 2nd Spartan Race
