17 Months!

..and still growing to love each other more. =)

We celebrated our 17 Months a day in advance due to another event happening tomorrow.  Furthermore, the restaurant we dined at was rather exclusive and I had to book a couple of months in advance – and only then could we get a Thursday night booking!

Tempura Hajime was highly recommended by a few friends and based on their experiences, we managed to find the restaurant which was well hidden in a street full of high-rise apartments.  The menu was a set one, and it was all tempura, freshly deep-fried in the sesame-and-tea oil and placed before us on stereotypically tiny Japanese ceramic dishes.  The bar could only seat 12 people at a time and I believe they only have two sessions per night.  The exclusiveness added to the romantic evening and the dessert was a great way to cool the deep-fried throat!  While the food here was exquisite and artistic, our love (addiction?) for sushi still rings true.

This will be our last “organised” monthly date – as I will be flying to Western Australia to begin my 13-month stint at Boddington Gold Mine.  Gonna miss her!!
